SPECIALIZED COVERAGES

We've responded to the needs of our Boat and Personal Watercraft policyholders by offering enhanced coverages. Our coverages, often featuring the highest limits offered in the industry, are more unique, comprehensive and encompass more risks, protecting you 24 hours a day.

AGREED VALUE COVERAGE
Our EXPANDED Agreed Value Coverage pays the Purchase Price in the event of a total loss regardless of the Actual Cash Value. On partial losses, there is no depreciation except on: outdrive units or outboard motors greater than five years old, batteries, sails, plastic and canvas coverings. For boats two years old or less, the sales receipt will serve as the Rating Base. If a sales receipt is unavailable, the Rating Base may be determined by referring to a BUC or ABOS guide. The Rating Base must be updated every three years by either a new marine survey or by referring to the BUC or ABOS guide. (Coverage Not Available for Personal Watercraft)

TOTAL LOSS REPLACEMENT
Our UNIQUE Total Loss Replacement Coverage is available on new boats purchased within the preceding 13 months. In the event of a total loss, this coverage replaces the current boat with a new boat that is, to the extent possible, the same make and model, and which contains comparable equipment. If the boat is not available, then a comparable model will be substituted for boats five model years old or less. For boats over five model years old, we will pay the Rating Base. (Coverage not available for personal watercraft.)"

ACTUAL CASH VALUE COVERAGE
Actual Cash Value is the most economical choice when it comes to insuring a boat or personal watercraft. The Actual Cash Value is determined by the market value, age and condition of the watercraft at the time of the loss. In the event of a total loss, this coverage will pay the lower of the Actual Cash Value or the Rating Base.

DIMINISHING DEDUCTIBLES (Included with Agreed Value & Total Loss Replacement Coverages) Diminishing Deductibles is included at no extra charge with Agreed Value and Total Loss Replacement Coverages. Diminishing Deductibles provides a reduction of twenty-five percent (25%) in Comprehensive and Collision deductibles for each claim-free renewal period. When the fourth consecutive claim-free renewal period is reached, there will be no deductible. Deductibles return to their original amounts when a Comprehensive or Collision claim is paid. Any type of non deductible related claim (e.g., Liability, Roadside Assistance, etc.) does not affect the diminishing deductible level. (Coverage Not Available for Personal Watercraft)

REPLACEMENT COST FISHING EQUIPMENT
This coverage pays for damage to fishing equipment while on board an insured watercraft or while being carried on or off an insured watercraft. It provides $2,500 coverage, one of the highest limits available in the industry, with a $250 deductible for each loss due to theft and pays up to $250 for damage or loss to any one item, except for electronic equipment for which the maximum limit is $500. (Coverage Not Available for Personal Watercraft)

REPLACEMENT COST PERSONAL EFFECTS
This coverage pays for loss of, or damage to, personal property while on board an insured watercraft or while being carried on or off an insured watercraft. This coverage is available for all watercraft, including PWC’s. Examples of personal effects include clothes, portable radios, CD players and cameras. The limit for loss to all fishing equipment under this coverage is $300. Additional coverage for fishing equipment may be purchased separately under Replacement Cost Fishing Equipment coverage. Personal effects does not include permanent equipment or portable boating equipment. Coverage is available up to $5,000. There is a $100 deductible for theft.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Roadside Assistance coverage provides towing to the nearest qualified repair facility, and necessary labor at the time and place of disablement, when the tow vehicle or watercraft trailer is disabled due to: mechanical or electrical breakdown, dead battery, flat tire, lockout, insufficient supply of fuel, oil, water or other fluids, or entrapment in snow, mud, water or sand within 100 feet of the roadway. This coverage extends to the tow vehicle, while transporting the watercraft, even if the tow vehicle is insured with another insurance company! This service is ”Sign and Drive,” meaning no out-of-pocket expenses are required; all the policyholder has to do is sign the receipt and they’re back on their way. Immediate roadside assistance can be obtained 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, anywhere in the US or Canada. Roadside Assistance coverage is included with Full Coverage policies for Pleasure Boats and PWC’s with trailers—for no extra premium!
